Safest way to buy it would be on the microsoft website. Sign into the desired account and just buy the dlc on the browser and it should downloading on your Xbox one. So look at the Xbox store on your Xbox and see if you can buy the DLC. You might be able to look at it but you can’t purchase it. It all depends on if you can buy it on the Xbox

Example: You can buy N+ in the Xbox store and it won’t be delisted but it’s DLC is unavailable to purchase in the Xbox store. You can still buy the DLC on the 360 store so once that’s delisted then that DLC is gone forever. There are other games like that too

The alternative if you want an Xbox 360 experience is to either buy or RGH your own console. It essentially gives you full control of the OS, so you can disable the license checks for things like DLC & in turn download someone else's DLC to use from the internet.

Most of the posts I’ve found tell me to only install both the base game and dlcs from disc 2. When I insert disc 2 the disc icon pops up with "there is a problem getting your content right now" where it should say the title or install disc and it does not do anything at all. If I install the game from disc 1, it only plays the base game.
The final DLC to be released was released in March 2020, as Ubisoft San Francisco transitioned to a new project. As of November 2021, the DLC for the original Rocksmith is slowly getting removed from digital storefronts as the licensing agreements for the songs expire.
